Answers to common questions about Stream Server Laboratories’ engineering services. Since 2011 we have helped customers move from concept to working hardware.

Stream Server Laboratories provides electronic hardware and PCB design, FPGA design and verification, embedded firmware, software design, and AI hardware acceleration. We support projects from concept through prototype and into production support.

We work with customers in aerospace, defense, healthcare and industrial markets, along with other organizations that need high-reliability electronics and embedded systems.

We treat client information as confidential and work under NDA where needed.

IP ownership is negotiable and depends on customer needs and what we agree in the contract.

We offer fixed-price engagements for a well-defined scope, or time-and-materials when the work is exploratory or likely to evolve. We recommend a short requirements review so we can propose the right structure.

Timelines depend on complexity, existing designs and supply lead times. We include a schedule with each proposal. Proof-of-concept work is often available sooner than a full production design.

Yes. We regularly take over, debug and extend existing boards, FPGA designs and firmware, including legacy migration when documentation or original tools are limited.

We work mostly with AMD (Xilinx), and also have Intel/Altera and Microchip experience. Languages and tools include VHDL, Verilog, C/C++ and Python.

We have experience with ITAR and export-controlled programs. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

Yes. We design for manufacture, support prototype bring-up and validation, and hand off cleanly to your contract manufacturer when you are ready to build.

Accelerating AI and signal-processing workloads in FPGA or dedicated hardware can cut latency, raise throughput and reduce power compared with a CPU-only approach—especially at the edge or in constrained environments.
